Curbside Recycling Program
Through Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA)
A FEW WORDS…
We would like to offer you the opportunity to take advantage of the city wide recycling program that is offered through DSWA, provided to you at NO additional cost. In an effort to make the program user friendly, a 65 gallon cart will be provided to you for disposing of all recyclables; sorting is not necessary. Recyclables will be picked up on an every other week schedule to be determined by DSWA. With your support and commitment, we will be able to continue our program for a better Delaware for many years to come.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE MATERIALS?
Once the single-stream materials are collected by DSWA they are taken to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where the recyclable materials are separated and sent to various markets for sale.
