The mayor's mission is to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of all citizens of Milford by providing efficient, high-quality community services, sound municipal leadership, and progressive planning for the future. The mayor's term expires in 2016.
Born and raised in Milford, DE, Bryan William Shupe graduated from Milford High School in 2002 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at the University of Delaware in 2007. Shupe owns two businesses in Milford and is a active proponent of economic development, a strong downtown and developing future leaders.
Shupe served on the Milford City Council representing Ward I and as a member of the Economic Development, Infrastructure and Public Works Committees from 2013 to 2014. He was voted by the people of Milford, DE to represent them as their Mayor on Saturday, April 26, 2014 and was sworn into office on Monday May 5, 2014. Historically, Shupe is the youngest Mayor to serve Milford.
