Members
Currently, the City of Milford elects eight City Council members, or two from each district. Members must reside in their elected wards and serve two-year terms.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the City Council include:

• Approving the city's Comprehensive Plan and proposed sphere of influence
• Establishing community goals and objectives
• Hearing community problems and concerns
• Reviewing and approving an annual budget
• Reviewing and approving major projects
