Welcome to the City of Milford Meter Department

Effective October 2, 2006, the City of Milford will be requiring 48 hours notice to schedule the installation of electric and water meters.  The meter department may be contacted at 422-1110 ext. 125 to schedule meter installation, you will be required to give the permit number and meter type.  Please note that if it is determined that the meter cannot be set at the designated time requested an additional 48 hours notice will be required for rescheduling purposes.  The following requiremtents apply with regard to the installation of meters:

Water meters will be set only if the meter pit is to grade.  The entire site bust be to final grade in preparation for sod or seeding.  No more than 2" will be allowed for the placement of sod (from the ground to the top of the rim on the pit).

Where sidewalks exists within the City limits the mater meter will not be set until the sidewalk is poured.
