PJM, our regional grid operator, has issued a Maximum Generation and Load Management Alert for today due to high electricity demand.
While no customer action is required at this time, we’re encouraging our community to voluntarily reduce energy use—especially during peak hours (typically 2–7 PM)—to help ease strain on the power grid.
Simple ways to help:
-Delay use of major appliances (dishwasher, laundry)
-Set thermostats a few degrees higher
-Turn off lights & electronics when not in use
-Close blinds to keep your home cool
