The comprehensive project involves upgrades to water mains, water services, sewer lines, ADA accessibility improvements, and the repaving of streets once construction is complete.

Project Highlights:

· Water Main and Service Upgrades: To date, the city has replaced or verified over 180 water services, ensuring compliance with EPA standards for lead service line remediation. Additionally, 3,000 linear feet of new water main has been installed to increase system capacity and improve water quality.

Ongoing Work:

· Water Service Transfer: The contractor is currently working on transferring water services from the old main to the new water main on N Washington St, with completion expected by Friday, November 22, 2024.

· Sewer Main Installation: Sewer main installation on S Church St is on schedule, with completion anticipated by November 28, 2024.

· SE 4th St Construction: Construction on SE 4th St is set to begin in late November to address the deteriorating road in front of Fortunata’s Bakery.

Remaining Work:

The remaining work includes construction on N Washington St, S Washington St, S Church/Maple, and the City Hall parking lot. The city is committed to completing these upgrades with minimal disruption to residents and businesses.

Conclusion:
