The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) informs that motorists can expect lane closures on SR 1 both Northbound and Southbound from 9 AM to 3 PM between the Thompsonville Road Interchange Exit 79 and the South Frederica Interchange (Milford Neck Road) Exit 83. These closures will begin on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, through Wednesday, February 5, 2025. No closures will be in place Friday, January 31; Saturday, February 1; or Sunday, February 2.
The reason for the closure is to allow the contractor to construction the temporary crossover for the next phase of the pipe replacement project.
Motorists are reminded that the Speed Limit within the work area is 45 MPH.
