TRAFFIC ALERT - Kent and Sussex County - Bridge Painting on SR 1 between Cedar Beach Road and NE Front Street
beginning on August 22
Milford -- Bridge Painting on SR 1 between Cedar Beach Road and NE Front Street
Milford - The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces the start of bridge painting work at BR 3-003N and BR 3-003S on SR 1 Coastal Highwaybetween SR 36 Cedar Beach Road and NE Front Street beginning on August 22. The purpose of the project is to clean and paint the structural steel and concrete. This work is anticipated to be completed in late Fall 2025, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect lane closures Monday through Friday from 9:00PM to 6:00AM. Lane closures are not expected for the full duration of work. Mainly during key activities. Motorists are reminded to use caution in the work zone and plan for minor travel delays.
